The bar hasn't been completed yet, but I'll show the beginning stages:

Here is a bad picture of how it started:

5 Rotators, 6 halogen arrowstick, intersection sweepers, 2 TIR6s to the front, takedowns, alleys

Now only takedowns and alleys left:

6 LIN6s in amber to the rear:

A Whelen Responder provides 6 LIN6s in red for corners and front warning:

I just got the remaining lighthead retainers needed for the remaining LIN6s yesterday from Priority 1 in Livonia, MI (Helpful as always!). They will be powered by the flasher from the Responder.

The upper level will consist of two rotators in the outermost positions, with 8 LIN12 400 series modules populating the rest of the bar. The 400s, along with 4 of the 6 rear LIN6s will be powered by the WeCan board out of my current lightbar: a Freedom.

Additional pictures will be posted as the build continues.

a wecan delta! sweeet

you know that the Freedom corners will fit on the upper level...

Love those Delta bars, can't wait to follow along as you build it out. Looks great so far - seems to have plenty of room to add things and move things around. Any reason why you got rid of the sweeps?

Moved from vehicle pictures section to lighting tech section.

Wow, that thing will really throw some light! I've always wanted to spec out an all-LED Delta but I don't have the money or the use for it!

I really like this. You will have to make a video when completed. How you planning on sealing the top?

Correction. I read the rest of post. I am really wanting to see this bar in action.

I haven't made a final decision on whether to use rotators or the Freedom corner modules. I like having a little bit of halogen in the mix to get the nice 360 degree coverage on the ends, but of course the rotators will draw the same amount of power as several LED modules.

I got rid of the sweeps mainly because I cannot run clear, but also because I wanted to have full LED coverage on the corners in addition to the rotators.

I have almost finished wiring up the lower level, but I'm not sure when I will get the upper level done, due to the fact that I will have to remove the lightbar off of my truck in order to do so. I will also have to fabricate some brackets for the 400 series modules, since I was too cheap to pay the $35 for each individual bracket from Whelen.

Damn thats nice! i have always liked how much light those things throw out its a shame you dont see them that much down here.

I got the upper level put together today. I had some issues making brackets for the 400s, so I ended up holding them in place with about 533 tie straps. This actually ended up working pretty well. The pictures make it look like the modules are crooked, but that is only because the plastic trays aren't held down yet. It will look better once everything is all together.

And then there is the sad remainder of the Freedom:

DUDE!!! :jawdrop: That looks BAD ASS!!! :salivate: Very good work my man... That bar looks AMAZING!!!

I have a question for ya... What did you do with the empty R2LPs...? I wouldnt mind having one... LOL

Sharp build. It looks great on the Expedition, looks like you have a bit of a lift on that as well. All in all looks great. Would love to see a shot from the back as well.

Thanks for all of the positive comments, I am pretty happy with how it came out. There are still a couple issues that I need to fix, since one of the amber LIN6s in the back is not working.

Boulder - I have actually sold the empty Responder shell already, sorry about that.

Rusted - I have a 2 inch leveling kit in the front of the truck.

I will try to get some better pictures and video today.

I can barely see the outboard rotators... Are they effective anymore with all that firepower under the lenses? Maybe some Freedom corners would be in the future to replace those rotator??

Great install overall!!
