It's quite simple. Why did it not catch on? I know the Edge and Liberties are both staught bars but the Delta was good looking and was fairly effective. I have a soft side for rotors and for me the Delta ranked highly compared to Vistas and Mx7000 models from it's main competitors. Was it to late at the time would have it succeeded in the nineties or was it simply not desired by Whelen's core clientele? I won't to hear more about this secret gem.

The delta was a fine bar, had it hit the streets earlier it may have enjoyed a chunk of the market share of the MX and Streethawk. The delta arrived at at time when bars were getting more low profile and LEDs were fully catching on. Dual level bars started to lose popularity. The real nail in the coffin was multi-color LEDs, completely negating the need for multiple levels. I did like the rot-a-beam LED versions of the delta, kinda gimmicky but I don't care.
