I have two EB6's I took out of a bar I am parting out for a customer. He said everything worked before he got the bar to me, but when I tested the power supplies, the strobe tubes clicked but there was no flash, same thing both supplies. I took the same strobes and tested them with another power supply (SL6) and they worked fine, tested EB6's again, same thing, clicks from the strobes like they were trying to fire but no flash... SO my question is are these total junk or is there hope that they could be sent in for repair?

Thanks for you input in advance!

Yes the SL6 you only need power and ground to operate the strobes, EB6's you need to apply power, ground, then power to one or two other wires to activate a certain set of outlets. Did that and still no luck =(

Nah, they aren't junk yet, they are great for paperweights, doorstops, or boat anchors.....

Boat anchors!? ... that's a small boat  good point though, paperweights and doorstops they may become :D

For grins, whats' the build date on the dead ps's? I think even the last ones being made are now long out of warranty.

I guess you could sent them in to be fixed at $130+ a piece...or buy almost 3 used ones

7-98 build date. I would say they are out of warranty

I don't plan on replacing them at this time. I'm surprised these aren't worth anything to Whelen at all for like a core or anything? Couldn't they use the capacitors or something out of it? I guess all that electronic stuff is so cheap they wouldn't care about used things.
