Whelen Edge end strobe?

Hi,
Has anyone come across one of these before. It’s the same size as the end cap on my Edge, but has 2x front facing strobe bulbs inside.
Is it a stand alone body mounted light? And does anyone know how to wire it up.

Thanks

As others above stated. It was a body mount option used a lot in motorcycle boxes.
It did share wires from the power supply. The same way the dual dashmiser remote would.

Thanks for the replies. Sorry if it’s a stupid question, I seem to be getting more strobe lights but don’t really know much about them.
I’m assuming the anode and cathode have a constant 12v. Does the trigger also have a constant 12v or would a controller apply and intermittent voltage to create the flash pattern?

Strobe tubes require a special power supply, they can not run off straight 12 volts. Some power supplies are built in otherwise known as self-contained. The other option is an external Supply with wires running to the strobe tube known as a remote strobe. The anode, cathode and Trigger wire reference their function/location on the strobe tube itself. If they are not hooked up to the power supply correctly they will damage the strobe or not work at all.

Thanks for the info. I knew there’s a chance to blow these things, that’s why I thought I’d check.

thats an "endcap strobe" used as surface mount on larger vehicles and on the back of motorcycles, thats 2 standard micromax strobes that will need any external strobe supply to power it, not just 12V to the heads.
also it is a very desired light

Thanks for the info. Would the power supply from an Edge lightbar power it?

It’s good to know it’s sought after. If you were selling it, what kind of ball park value would you put on it?

any whelen strobe pack will power it, they were mostly used with a 64 series hideaway pack
last few I had, I put new lenses on and got 150-200 I think each
