Whelen freedom lightheads information

I have an older whelen freedom with a 2004 build date i have seen pictures of linear and non linear heads in these bars what are the differences and will they interchange any information would be appreciated this is my first freedom bar it isn't fully populated it has eight heads and takedowns

Both linear and non linear heads will work. Linear heads are only slightly brighter.

If I remember right non linear were basically Hideaway strobe tubes lookin bulbs..

I think you are thinking about the edge strobe bar instead of the freedom LED bars
