I recently got a mini liberty and I wanted to know if it was possible to change out the a blue head for a red one?

Yes... You might want to match the "population" to make sure it has the same amount of LED's (fully populated or economy heads). If you get the head it should just plug into the same spot as the old one. Someone else should be able to elaborate on the differences in the older "ballast" type bars, and the newer "passive" style ones. I believe the heads are the same, but the flashers are different. Someone correct me here if Im wrong.

Thanks

Passive and ballast heads are NOT the same. Easy check to see what you have, and therefore, what you'd need... hook the positive and negative leads up to straight 12 volts. If it lights up, it's passive. If it doesn't, it's ballast.

Do a search for more differences between the 2, it's been discussed many, many times.
