I have a Whelen mini edge that I am trying to upgrade, it was a basic 4 strobe with an old 4 outlet PS, I took that out and replaced it with an EB6, and put 4 3X4 strobes and disconnected two of the corner strobes (its on the rear of an ambulance box, disconnected the two front corners, and have two 3X4's facing rear, and two 3X4's in the alley light position.)

MY problem is, the 3X4's are nice and bright but the corner strobes are hardly putting out any light. Is there some issue with running 3X4's and linears? Some trick I don't know about? Any input would be much appreciated! :D

Sounds like the 3x4s are getting the same power as the linears that are bigger bulbs. I thought EB6s were regulated, but maybe I'm wrong. Unless the supply is regulated you need to make sure the bulbs are the same size.

So it looks like the supply isn't regulated? So I need to seek out an alternate one or put two supplies in by the sounds of it?
That's what it sounds like...

Thats' a common thing that happens when you mix the helix & linear strobes on the Edge-type bars. You need one P/S for the linears & one for any helix to get the brightness "right".

Mike,

You can always do what I did with my mini lfls, in stead of me spending alot of money

or buying a used power supply, just add two power supplys, I added two 2/40 power supplys

and actually worked really nice as the corner strobe reflectors are actually brighter now

' then when they were used with the stock power supplys. Just have to find a couple smaller

power supplys(sealed) to fit inside of the mini frame.
