whelen par 46 led 2 degree unity replacement

Everyone has been asking about the new Whelen par 46 led unity replacement bulbs. I put one on my squad today. pretty damn bright for daytime. cant wait until tonight to test it out.

the one I had was bright no doubt and i really liked it but I also missed the kindoff "flood" effect that the halogen gave... I cant decide if i want to keep the halogen or get another LED spot for my K9 ride.

Did you have the 2 Degree, or the 8 Degree...? The 2 Degree is the "spot" head, and the 8 Degree is the "flood" head...


Also, the "flood" effect you get with the halogen is due to the parabolif reflector in the Unity housing...

Lawd... I cant remember lol I purchased the very first one that Whelen came out with..??

I don't know about anyone else here that picked up on this, but the one photo looking down at the led head. Center row bottom of leds, does that not look like an alien head? Head and 2 big eyes, just saying. I wish I could get one.
