Hello all I'm wondering how many heads can be driven off each port on a Whelen responder minibars flasher I'm considering using a couple for parameter lighting on an SUV it's got 2 duo heads (amber white) and 2 white heads and 6 amber heads as well as 4 amber hideaways they need control of white to be shut off (they got a cencom sapphire) and front lights to be sepretly controlled from the rear this installation is on a very tight budget so ide like to see what people have done on these flashers if anyone has any ideas on how many heads these flashers can take per channel it would be much appreciated

The Responder flasher was designed for one LIN6 head (1 amp max) on each of the six outputs, and I wouldn't exceed that. As I recall, it's also a negative-switched flasher, so keep that in mind when you set up your wiring. Really, you'd probably be best off looking for a cheap used ULF or ambulance flasher.

Sarge, depending how tight the budget is, decides how much control and options can be figured into the install. Control of front and rear warn can be done simply by wiring up switch functions and syncing said heads to each other as possible. Now to add white w control of steady or flash, a ULF44 would be a economical solution if the lights you are using will play well with the external flasher. Are all the warning lights the same brand? Multiple ULF’s would allow for synched flash and steady white while still flashing amber if wired appropriately.
More details will allow us to give you the best answer for this install. What type of suv is it and. Are the lights already installed? The heads you refer to are in a lightbar or? How many responder flashers do you have,? Tks

Details are as follows

Lights are mostly whelen but there's a couple of federal signal and soundoff signal lights as well

It's installed on a ford escape

Lights have already been installed but all are running off their internal flashers and it's a messy disco ball lol

Side window heads will be swapped for liberty 500 heads

The white is not needed for steady burn only flashing in mode 3 (he does pilot car so that's what the white is needed for)

Looking for syncable flashers so the lights can have front cut and rear cut and independent control for the white to be turned off

He said he had maybe 200 CAD (not USD to play with rite now
