Just a heads up for anyone, Whelen recently announced the “End of Life” for all WeCan devices. So this includes anything Cantrol, Carbide, Sapphire, HHS 4200, and all WeCan lightbars, Inner Edges, etc. they will be officially discontinued as of June 2025. So if you are currently running anything WC, and need to buy something new, don’t wait too long.

We knew it was coming with the introduction and success of Core.

Whelen has been good so far with leaving "old" software available on their site. While they "don't support it" anyone and there are no updates or fixes for issues with new vehicles, it's not like the units in the field become bricks. As mentioned above, Core has been very successful and essentially replaced it already.

Sad to see WeCan reach the end of the road, but not surprising or really problematic necessarily.

Over the last 15 plus years both Federal Signal Sound Off, and Whelen have changed my opinion from "oh geez, it requires a special switch box" to "this would be easier on (insert platform)". The technology had come a long way
