I have to a 6 volt Beacon Ray that has a 12 volt 1157 bulb in it. I cannot find a 6 volt light anywhere, even amazon. Can somebody direct me to a place, preferably in Canada, where i can buy one?

If it is a 1183 or 1015, it is a BA15S base. Any bulb that size should fit if you check the globe size. Depends how authentic you want it. A simple 1156 will work. LED will work. Or you can go to a local retailer, Ebay Canada, Amazon Canada, etc. and get the 1183 bulb. EBay and Amazon have it ranging from a couple bucks a piece to $24 for a 10 pack.

Remember 1156 is 12 Volt.
Yes a standard incandescent 1156 is 12 volt. However, many LED replacements are 6-24v and labeled 1156. If you want to stay incandescent, an 1156 interchanged to 6 volt is an 1129. An 1156 may still work, just MUCH dimmer. Again, any BA15S base with a maximum globe size fitting your application will work, just depends how authentic you want the light to be.

Will this continue to work with an 1157 bulb? I did order a 6 volt led.
The input is 12v 2.5a and the output converter I have is 6v 15a? I let it run for 10 minutes without any heat being generated. Once again, I plan on having it on my bar and every time there is a shot I will turn it on... So that means it will turn on and off many times ..lol. Btw, are you not allowed to upload mp4 files? I had a 5 second video of it running but was unable to upload it. I'm a newbie.

You stated it had an 1157. If in fact an 1157 bulb is correct, an LED that is labeled with 6v in it's operating range is fine. Based on dmathieu statement of the correct bulb application an 1156 would be an acceptable fit. In addition, I find it hard to believe an 1157 would be used for that light. 1157 is a dual filament bulb and more appropriate where you desire a dim light and a bright light (such as tail and brake, marker and turn, etc.). 1156 has the same dimensions but a slightly different pin location and it is a single filament bulb.

You want a 1015, or an 1183 will work, Both have V shaped filament, which will give you the proper beam from the magnifiers. Others, including LED may work, but will sorely lack in beam or brightness. Depends on what you want to accomplish.

Will the setup I have shown work without damaging or overheating anything?
You are changing the design and going into uncharted territory. We can all speculate but no one can know for sure how well or how long. Will it produce light? Yes. Will it be properly illuminated? No. Will it last? Maybe.
