who makes a good led beacon?

Anybody have any experience with led beacons? Nroads look nice. As do the sos4500. The code 3 ls222? Trying to stay under 200 for a class 1

Strobes N' More Elite is a Class 1 LED beacon with both flashing and “rotator” patterns. I think it’s the best bang for the buck.

The Nroads dual level beacon is solid (a bit above $200 though), but I’m not too impressed with the single level version....like the Whelen L31 vs L32, the single levels aren’t anything to write home about. Unfortunately, the L31 and high top nroads are both out of your listed budget

I flat out dislike Code 3 LED products, so I wouldn’t waste your time with them.

+1 on the Strobes 'N More e-beacon. They're well priced for how decent their rotating patters are IMO.

I looked at the SNM elite led beacon earlier today. I assume you’ve seen one in person... does it seem as bright as a whelen or nroads high top?
Have you seen a Sound off 4500 high top? The 4500 high dome is aprox $160

The SNM isn’t as bright as Whelen, but it’s very bright considering it’s only a fraction of the price (it’s like comparing a Feniex fusion bar and a Whelen legacy....they’re both solid, but the Whelen one is brighter and you’re def paying more for it). The 4500 series isn’t anything special.
As for the elite vs nroads, it’s hard to compare b/c they’re 2 diff types of beacons...the elite is a TIR type optic and the nroads is basically curved mirrors to give you linear output. The nroads is massive for a beacon, but comes with dual color functionality, while the elite has rotator patterns and is smaller.
