What is a Work Light? As in, I have accumulated several Federal Signal SW300 and 400 switch boxes, and most have one switch labeled "Work Lights" along with the usual Rotators, Fashers, Take Downs, Left Alley and Right Alley. I'm stumped.

To piggy back of what Abe said, Ive always seen it in correlation to “rear work lights” as in the case of a tow truck; the work lights of a lightbar would be steady burn white in the rear of the bar soas to illuminate the “work” area of the tow truck, so the operator can see what theyre doing when hooking up a car. But as Abe said, its any white steady burn flood light that one would use to illuminate an entire area to be able to perform tasks at night

Thanks to you both. Makes perfect sense. I was obviously overthinking this!
