Did a search but no results came back. Has anyone tried Nokya yellow bulbs instead of amber filters? I have a Fed Signal halogen Highlighter with a clear dome and was wondering if it would look alright with the yellow Nokya bulbs. Thanks for any info, Bill C

The Nokyas are more yellow than amber so they appear more like a Euro/ricer fog light than a true amber warning color. With that being said, they work VERY well on vehicles that rarely use their high beams for an HLF without running regular clear bulbs... Definitely not the norm but works well in certain applications...

The amber 1156 bulb also works "ok" for lower level flashers in the MX7000, just not going to wash out the rotators with them... 50 watt halogens on the other hand tend to have some issues LOL.

I have a supplier that has some amber 795 50w bulbs for around 18 each..

these are the bulbs that have the amber glass domes over the bulbs themselves

this is the ONLY place ive been able to find them.

yeah not really....

More specifically the part where they say that traditional bulbs made with amber glass used cadmium, which is more toxic than lead, so since other ways to make amber glass are more expensive, clear glass with amber tint on it is most common, although the amber coloring can flake off or fade more than real amber glass.

That's a long way of saying why it's hard to find amber bulbs that use amber glass, not clear with amber tint on them.
