    From what I have been able to deduce, they were introduced in 1975 and replaced by the Model 8000 bar in 1978.

    To find one in such nice and clean condition is a real prize. stansdds is right about the dome being a weak spot. Another problem was weather related elements, dirt and dust infiltration...
