Very nice find! Yes, it appears to be an early “small dome” model, but the 4-bulb models utilized the larger (by 1/8”) dome, at least by my recollection. Could be te 173 works and upper portion of...

Interesting recent acquisition, kind of letdown that it wasn't what I was expecting.. but not too disappointed overall. Beacon Ray 173, on a stanchion mount (sp?) tag had my hopes up as it...

So cool to find a clean blue/blue 12X! Excellent snag! OK…so the video has the bulb rotation backwards. Not saying it’s wrong, but FedSig designed the “Hand Clap” flash pattern to be from the...

I came across this little amber beacon light recently while on vacation in upstate New York. I had to pick it up because it was like one of the first lights I ever had. I ordered it in 1981 from...

I guess we’re showing our age…my first light, too. I remember trying to figure out how to get the suction cup to stick to the windshield frame of my mom’s 61 Olds Starfire (convertible…mine now)...

Radio Shack sold a similar version which came with red, blue or amber lenses. Cosplaying some kind of generic space police for a convention years ago (IIRC I was 18 or 19), I built a light bar...

J.C. Whitney in the early 70s. Mine ran on three C-cell batteries. Long since gone, but like @AuroraBorealis said, I found one a few years ago on ebay, NIB. Easy find now.

I had one on my Stingray in 1969 (pretending to be a firefighter) which probably planted the seed for future light collecting! If I recall correctly, bought mine at Rat Shack with hard earned...

Those domes on those vintage Radio Shack beacons are stamped Stratolite 79. Found a different auction with an older version of what you found, but still has the same dome. https://ebay.us/m/uR0yBw
