A tale of two lightbars

I won a local auction for a pair of Whelen Edge 9M minis last month. The photos from the auction didn't do them justice, as one of them is in nearly new condition. Impossible to tell it's almost 20 years old, right?!?

Just kidding, that was the second bar. Here's the nice one:

It's a little dusty from apparently sitting on a shelf somewhere for almost 2 decades. But it's really almost in NOS condition.

And they're definitely siblings - probably made on the same day! Take a look at the labels on the bottom of both, and notice the serial numbers and date...

Two identical lightbars made on the same day, sold to the same country agency, led two entirely different lives!

Very cool historical catch.
I had one of these two decades ago! Lol
I added flashers front and rear w the dbl flash flasher W used at the time. Way back in the days of a cig plug having no problem keeping up with the draw….!
