Hi guys,

I was just wondering about the different halogen bulbs used in AeroDynics. I know halogen was an option to upgrade from regular bulbs. But why do some bars have the classic small H1 plug-in halogen bulbs and some others a larger bayonet socket halogen lamp?

In the original Aeros the choice was H1 Halogen, or 1195 incandescent with bayonet base. The 795X is also a bayonet base and easily switched for the 1195 to make the bar Halogen.

Originally the bar only had incandecent bulbs (1195) but was soon upgraded to halogen by using the original incandecent lampholder with a Heyco cable grommet as an insulator inside the lampholder to prevent short circuit of the cable connector.
A metal ring with a slot for the flange on the H1 bulb was attached to the upper part of the lampholder and two screws was holding two retainer springs that holds the flange in place. The screws was treaded in the metal ring and the ends of the screws was securing the assembly in the slots for the pins on the original 1195 bulb that the lampholder had.

Later when the 795 bulb came on the market it was much easier to convert the bar to halogen by using the 795 halogen bulb.
795 and later 795X can be used. The filament differs between these bulbs. Horizontal vs. vertical is the differences.
