I paired up a Federal Firebeam that I got on eBay (red) with one from a member here (blue) and put them in the back window of my Mustang. Don't you love when they are perfectly out of sync? I mean every say 5 - 10 flashes you go from a cycle of flashing at the same time, to evenly spaced apart, and back to simultaneous. This poll does not have to be only for vintage rotators. You can chime in on your LED preference too.

Out of sync is best because when you are parked on the side of the road, the eyes of oncoming motorists from the rear will catch the flashes faster in the distance than in-sync flashes sometimes. My Federal Signal SignalMaster on the deck of my Impala has two blue square, long-distance beam halogen lights mounted above it and the controller has an auxiliary alternating flasher built in. So, when I put WARN and AUX on, the rear deck has two different alternating patterns going on from the SignalMaster and the blue halogen lights. It creates an unorganized but effective rear warning effect.
