I'm looking for a rough but intact Federal WLDR (UPDATE: it should WLR) light/siren combination for my 1951 Henney-Packard Air Force Ambulance. The base type is unimportant. My car is rough too so I don't want to put something really nice and shiny on top but it needs to be all there and not physically damaged for future restoration! It does not need to work. Does anyone know where I can find one?
It also apparently had a pair of beacons, one on either side of the roof near the front third of the vehicle. The photo below shows the mounting pattern and the outline of where it sat is just visible too. I don't have any dimensions but can get them when I'm next at my shop. Due to the curvature of the roof at the sides, something with a similar base will be needed so that they sit upright. The beacons used at the center of the roof on civilian Henney-Packard ambulances were Federal so I suspect these were too, unless they were added later. If the latter, then it's anyone's guess what they were!
And then finally, the front corners of the roof apparently had some kind of small lights. Since there are only two mounting holes and a third one for the wire, these were likely not tunnels but were in the same location. Does anyone recognize the hole pattern who might be able to tell me what these were or who may even have something like it? The holes are side to side rather than front to back and are only a couple inches apart.
