Just a quick look at a pair of MicroMan Industries 8″ MicroStarBar XP compared to a Whelen Liberty with 4-lead depopulated heads (except the center amber two) and a Sound Off Predator CHMSL.
The MicroStarBars are mounted on the headliner in the rear window, so they are slightly angled outwards which can be seen when the camera starts to move and there is a direct shot of the right bar. These bars are extremely bright when viewed straight on. They lost effectiveness as the angle increases, but are not intended as a wide-angle light. They are definitely worth the money for the size and brightness.
The new MicroStarBars can come with an internal flasher or require an external flasher and can be made for interior or exterior use and include a user chosen length of cable. Each 4" segment (3 LEDs) can be a different color.
