Up for sale is my Motorola XTS2500. It's the 7/800mhz variety. It's in great functional shape and a 9/10 cosmetically. It comes with antenna and a 2100mA NON IMPRES battery. No charger is included. This unit HAS been upgraded from a model 1 to 2 and the flash has been upgraded. Serial number still matches the tags... This is the BN model which is much more desirable than the AN model. The radio was tuned and aligned within the last year. This has worked amazingly in the non-affiliate trunking capacity. My region is moving to all TDMA systems so I'm upgrading.

That is the exact radio my department uses. We are in the middle of a new budget approval, so as soon as it's approved, if you still have it, I'm 99% certain I'll buy it (maybe 2 weeks).

Will do. The budget was supposed to go for official approval this evening, but our mayor isn't going to be present for the city council meeting. I've been told there will be a special session called most likely next week. I have no idea how expensive these radios are new, but I'm sure it's well over $1,000 and it would be absurd for us to not jump on this.

They've been discontinued by Motorola (along with the rest of the XTS line), so buying used is the only way to get one these days.

Correct. This with NOT do P25 Phase 2 with the AMBE... you will need a APX platform radio for that if looking for a Motorola.
