Sapphire / WC Liberty II Duo+ Troubleshooting

So I've been trying to troubleshoot this for a few weeks now, but to no avail. I have a Whelen Liberty II Duo+ Lightbar that came out of a retired ISP Explorer, so I know at one point it was functional. The lightbar and some wires were the only things left in the vehicle. I decided I wanted to mount it on my wall, but I wanted it functional. I ordered a used control head and Cencom Sapphire box, all with wiring and tested to be operational (or so they said.) When wiring everything up, and doing the programming in Whelen Command, everything seems to work until the lightbar is connected. It doesn't seem to matter if the lightbar is connected before or after bootup of the Sapphire, it will flash all the LEDs on the bar once and then shut off entirely, locking up both the control head and the Sapphire. Only disconnecting power will take it out of this bootloop. The Pre-boot light is rapid flashing when this happens. All wires were checked and connected properly, so I honestly don't know what the issue may be. Sapphire Firmware shows up to date at version 01228B0.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried reaching out to Whelen? I had a similar problem between and old Sapphire and newer Legacy DUO. When I reached out to them, they pretty quickly told me I needed to send the Sapphire in for an firmware upgrade (implying that it wasn't possible to get it upgraded through the automated Command scheme).

Sorry, I don't remember what my firmware version was...my Sapphire was made in "08/12" (label on its underside).

Hmm, I reached out to them before believing it was a short in the I/O board, but never heard anything back. I'll try about the Sapphire itself, since MFG. date shows 9/12. Thanks for the tip.
