I recently purchased an MX7000 in good condition to add to a display wall.
I have opened up many MX bars in past years but was a bit surprised with this when I went for upgrades.
I tore that bar down to its frame then added an arrow (from another MX) and that went smooth. The bar had a lower level pair of sweeps, pair of flashers and pair of TD's. the lower center was empty so I wanted to add a 2nd pair of flashers. The rail to mount lower items in the center did not have screw holes to fit a pair of reflectors (either with the reflectors touching or spaced as in the placement). In the 3rd photo you can see the marked holes to drill. Next to them are equally spaced factory holes but if the reflector was there it would not line up to fit the filter. So I drilled new holes to mount the flashers.
The other modification was to suite my mild OCD and not have 3 red and 2 blue rotators. One would think that the center plate would have had holes to offer split color filters. I like clear for the center but on a display wall it is too overpowering. So I had to drill 4 new holes for the filter. I am not a fan of the fast rotators but it works nicely with this filter setup.
I did grind off 2 nubs on the bottom ends of each filter to fit the slight overhang that these filters do.
Adding the Arrow did not allow me to reinstall the alley lights that came with this bar. I had a pair in another bar that I could have swapped but I didnt feel like all that work.
