Strange NYPD Signal Stat Light

I was out at the NYPD area of Floyd Bennett Field a few days ago and saw this bizarre anomaly. This light is on the green NYPD paddy wagon that the NYPD uses for historical and promotional purposes. I had always just thought of it as a Model 17 Beacon Ray, but this time I took a closer look. It appears to be a Signal Stat re-branded model 17. I've never seen something like this before, and I was wondering if anybody else had any info on this one. All the insides appear to be FedSig, but I'm not certain. The light does work, as I've seen it in use around the city before.
Also, I've included a photo of an NYPD Vision SL that's fully wired up and programmed inside one of the classrooms. It does fully work, and I messed around with it. No video, unfortunately, as time was limited.

Welp, it looks like Photobucket won't share my pics, and it's impossible to edit the OP, so here are the pictures.

The Signal Stat model 330 was used more recently on much newer rebranded Federal model 14 beacons with the plastic base and plastic lampholders.

Federal did rebrand a number of their beacons for Signal Stat and other prominent safety equipment companies like Dietz, and Darley.
Among the Federal beacon #s that I've seen rebranded are:

FB-1
14
184
Vitalite 121
And now the 17

Yes, that was what I wrot.
14SB = 14 Series B.
I have one that I bought sometime late 80s or early 90s.
It was a wrong delivery from Signal-Stat. I ordered a 350 but they sent a 330.
I did not accept that light so the dealer kept it but several years later I was offered the 330 to a reduced price and now I have it in my collection.

Dietz Model 230 was a rebadged Federal Model 14. This was their first entry into the 2 sealed beam market, before they came out with their Model 240, which later was renumbered 7-40.

The Vision is probably in one of the Driver Training classrooms used for Academy Recruits
That's precisely where it is. I was out there for RMP qualification. Was much fun.

I tried to get a closer picture, but that's the closest I could get. The beacon is pretty weathered.

i found this posted by member stansdds a couple years back, which is interesting and helps identify a number of rebranded Signal Stat light model numbers. looks like the rebranded beacon ray would be model number 335

Over the years Signal Stat has marked a number of Federal Signal products.

Before Signal Stat had established their own line of beacons (circa 1964-1967):

Signal Stat 335 = Federal model 17 Beacon Ray

Signal Stat 338 = Federal model 14

Signal Stat 339 = Federal model 184 Power Light

Signal Stat 340 = Federal model FB1 and FB2 Fireball

Signal Stat ceased making their large, 4 sealed beam beacons around 1980. I suppose they saw a demand and resurrected the 340 model number and applied it to Federal 184's.

By 1990 Federal has stopped making the 184, but Signal Stat bought Dietz and with that purchase the Dietz 7-40 and 7-11 became the Signal Stat 312 and 311.

In the 2000's Signal Stat stopped making beacons and sold a number of Federal products under the Signal Stat brand.

Signal Stat 330 = Federal 14SB

Signal Stat 331 = Federal 100

Signal Stat 332 = Federal Highlighter

Signal Stat 360 = Federal FB3 Firebeam

Signal Stat 9682/9683 = Federal Street Hawk 47"/52"

Another example found on the bay, a Beacon Ray model 176.
The tag is rough but appears to read 337

Looks like someone replaced the dome with the small diameter Federal 17/early 173 dome. Signal Stat, from time to time, rebranded a good number of Federal Signal products.
