SMYRNA, Tenn. - A Tennessee Highway Patrol trooper was killed in a motorcycle crash Saturday in Smyrna, Tenn., according to a THP news release.
Trooper Andy Wall, 36, and Trooper Buddy Head were escorting U.S. Air Force Thunderbird pilots to an air show on their state motorcycles when they became involved in a crash involving three other vehicles, the release stated.

Wall died at Vanderbilt University. Head was injured, but no civilians were hurt, the release stated.
The accident is being investigated, the release stated.
Wall was assigned to the THP Nashville District and worked primarily out of Dickson County. He graduated from the THP Training Academy in 2004.
His father, Tom Wall, is a former sheriff of Dickson County. Trooper Wall leaves his parents, a sister, and girlfriend.
