I heard about that this evening. 40 year veteran of the Virginia State Police. God bless him for his service and provide peace and comfort to his friends, family and co-workers. Lets just use this as a reminder to ALWAYS backup an officer on a stop, no matter how trivial it seems.

He's probably right. I don't support the death penalty, but this guy knew EXACTLY what he was doing and everyone from Virginia knows if you kill a cop, you fry. I read an article in the paper today, apparently the suspect's car was disabled and Trooper Walker had simply stopped to check the suspects welfare and offer assistance. I cannot think of a single reason why a jury in the commonwealth wouldn't convict him or sentence him to death.
