Up for sale is a Whelen 4500 series lightbar. We have several for sale. Most measure 88" long, but we have a few that are shorter.

These are surface mount lightbars. Some are designed for the front of an ambulance, and some are designed for the rear of the ambulance.

Typically they have rotators and strobe lights in the lightbar. Call for details - 931-684-8964, ask for ChrisDSC07893.JPG

Flush mount bars are getting a bit collectible, and they can be a bit confusing. I have a few of these in my collection, the options and series combinations were nearly endless. To help get everyone on the same page when buying these bars, I can summarize the types.

Sometimes called flush mount, they technically are a surface mount or half version of popular Whelen lightbars. Usually they appeared mounted to the front and rear of the "box" portion of ambulances. They were originally confined to two versions, one based on the edge series and one on the advantedge. These were called edge plus and advantedge plus (4000 series) bars. Both had several generations of internal components. The edge version used edge series internals and some other 7x3 and 4x3 sized heads. The advantedge based bars used multiple types of rotating and oscillating components as well as 7x3 sized lights. Later the a super advantedge plus (5000 series) using larger rotators and 6x4 sized heads was debuted. Most recently the lines was reduced down to edge plus and the 4500 series, which is a different lens style than the advantedge plus, which is technically discontinued. Now the 4500 is the only surface mount lightbar, you can order it with numerous options in the 7x3-ish range.

edge plus - surface mount / half version of edge lightbars
advantedge plus 4000 - surface mount / half version of advantedge
super advantedge plus 5000 - larger version of advantedge plus
