hi all,

the Whelen GRLSTR grille lights in my 94 FORD F150 burned out, and, after finding out that you cant replace the bulbs in these, I tried to find replacements. turns out they are no longer made, so I had to find an alternative strobe light. considering the lights were second-hand when I installed them 5+ years ago, I wanted nothing but Whelens to replace it. I wanted just strobes, no LED's or halogens. I ended up deciding on a pair of Whelen 500 series strobes. the following photos show the bracket fabrication involved in the install, as well as the install itself. I HIGHLY recommend these lights, they are bright but not obnoxiously bright (as I believe LED's are, but thats my opinion, dont wanna start wars with that comment), and they fit nice and look really good. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to ask/comment away. hopefully this will help other 92-96 (plus 97 HD) F-series owners out.

if you look at truck light/napa they make all kinds of brackets for oval grommet mount and you get the 5grommet option for the 500 series and there you go

I had some Whelen GRLSTR grille lights burn out a while ago and I just removed the strobe by drilling it out with a 1" hole saw used to install a HAW strobe and then installed a HAW strobe. It worked perfect but I was just using parts I already had for a quick fix.
