The first light that I purchased for fire dept. use was a dual light from Extreme Tactical Dynamics. I had no experience with emergency led lighting, so i purchased from the first company I could find. Well... I quickly learned that I would not be purchasing any more lights from ETD. lol

The first LED lights I got was a kit from a company over here that contained. 2x 3inch Sho-me by the inch and a Sho-me flasher that was built into a small switch panel. At the time these looked bright.

I believe this was around 2005.

Yep EVS. I watched their website grow from just a page of able2 products to a full online shop.

I've still got the LED's in a box somewhere. They were ok for what i needed at the time. Which was extra rear warning for when driving on Rally tracks.

POV used ShoMe Gen 1 Microlights with separate flasher used as a headliner windshield warning light in 2004. Then I added Amber and red Whelen TIR 6 on the rear deck.

Around 2006, ordered red Whelen talons for our State EMS office Impalas, and kept headlight and taillight strobes.

LEED light... had a double blue to the front and 2 double blue/ambers to the rear. I bet if I look hard enough, there is still a blue/amber somewhere in a box from my move.

I probably first saw LEDs being used on local and state police, and seeing some of the cars with newer LED bars next to some with the older ones decided to get into it. I started in the department with a Whelen Cadet rotator, then went to a Whelen dual blue/blue talon. Since then I've gone back to a Talon up front, and I've had everything from 911EP, Whelen, Sho-Me, StrobesNMore.

A/A Gen 1 Slimlighter off Ebay (B/B was $400+ back then) - Summer 2001

Blue LED DashKing. Prob 2002

Blue/Blue (as indicated Teal/Teal) Ballast Talon...prob 2003?

Sold the slimlighter a long time ago. Hanging on to the other 2 though and both are still in service in my secondary response vehicle.

Second vehicle the Dashking was installed in; first for the Talon:

Whelen Single Talon in blue. Picked it up at Firehouse expo in Baltimore. I was 17 or so and couldn't use it for another year but I remember it being the brightest, coolest thing i've seen.

It was a 911EP LS15 in all red. Bought it around 2000 or so on the old old old old version of eLightbars. I think it was about $150.
