I/O boards are the same. In WCX, they are even the same board between the majority of the models. Wiring harness should be the same, as all the modules also share the same plug. One thing to know though, is that you will have to swap out all modules to the same type. You cant run half solo, and half duo.Hello, I’m lokking at a slightly used (2024) Whelen Liberty II with WeCanX. The bar is originally a solo amber bar. Does the harness and board support duo in the rear as standard? I want to upgrade some of the modules to have duo color.
thank you. Do you perhaps know if the modules in older wecan fit in wecanx model?I/O boards are the same. In WCX, they are even the same board between the majority of the models. Thank you. I have now got the lightbar home today I will start to test out with other modules (i have a older duo wc)WC and WCX use the same modules. The only thing different is the I/O board, and because the I/O board is different, the wiring harness is slightly different.
One WCX Can plug on the Core-C will control everything. All twisted green/grey pairs will be paralleled together. The shield wires in the green/grey twisted pair should also be hooked into the Core-C, but not required. Just do not ground the shield wires.Thank you. The bar I got today is equipped with core-c ccp9 panel. I was looking at the expansion module and startet to get ideas on how I can build my system based on that. As the expansion only have 1 input for can L and H, can they all be sliced together and still work seemlessly? Like a real can-system?
With all, I think of Ccp9, cem8/16 and the lightbar.

You are limited to the inputs on the expansion module. You can run multiple expansion modules though. Unfortunately the limitations of Core-C are on purpose. Its original design only allowed for an ONE expansion module and a lightbar. They want people to get the full Core, or Core-R if you need more than Core-C offers.Thank you so much your fast and knowledgeable answers.
There isn’t perhaps any other way to get more inputs with the core-c? Since cem8/16 only has 4 inputs.
