For Sale Red Code 3 dash laser lens and flash shield

I have four total dash laser lens in red for sale. All are spare stock and show minimal signs of storage. Expect handling marks including signs of being stacked on each other. All are about a 9 on a 1-10 scale. The one with the black base is in the "worst" shape with some sort of residue on it...

    New addition: Code 3 Force 4 Red/Clear 48 inch

Added a picture with it's "big brother" that I rescued from our 1983 brush fire truck when the motor on the red side failed and the bar was being replaced.

    New addition: Code 3 Force 4 Red/Clear 48 inch

Recent addition I acquired from another member. As the title says it's a 48 inch Force 4 in red/clear. Love them or hate them, I feel this version of independent rotators worked better than the SD with sealed beams. I know the footprint was "borrowed" from twinsonic, the first enclosed lightbar...

    Positive Purchase from Jmarico1

Joe was awesome to deal with and does a fantastic job packing to protect the item, which in this case was a 48in. Code3 Force 4 light bar and additional filters for the rotators. Communication was great and shipping was fast. Chris...

SOLD Code 3 Force 4 Lightbar

Hi Joe, after looking closer I see what you are referring to. I was hoping hi had at least one 1 filter for the clear side, I would be more interested in it if it did. Thanks for your quick response.

SOLD Code 3 Force 4 Lightbar

Hi, a couple of the pics show the clear side with one red filter, and some do not. My question is does it come with a red filter for the clear side or are both rotators without a red filter? Thanks, Chris.

    Odd light issues

I have had this problem in the past with STL products. The simple answer is their products do not have proper RF shielding, specifically in the control module. This is why it takes a "hard reset"( pulling the fuse) to get proper light function restored. The RF coming out of your radio on high...

    Southern VP Date Code?

I was nosing through the collection, this is a signal stat 381. No sticker on the bottom but it ink stamped 1378( I think it's an 8). Anyway it's the same but different.

What equipment are these for: radio mic holder, and power connector

So first, most light bars used some sort of "anchor screws" in conjunction with the hang on style clamps. By this I mean the lightbar had adjustable width feet to accommodate different size vehicles (some made medium and short sized bars as well). Then a bolt ran between the lightbar straps and...

What equipment are these for: radio mic holder, and power connector

In my area at the time this body style was popular, the 54in Federal Streethawk was a popular option for the roof. I feel it looked good on that size car in my opinion. For that period of rotating bars, the Streethawk put out great warning power. Of course, several other overhead bars were used...

Can anyone identify this beacon light?

This mount looks interesting. This light with the mount plate attached might have been used as a prop light for either live performance or video recording (light effects) to emulate an emergency vehicle in the background, but not visible to the audience. Or, possibly a previous collector liked...

Can anyone identify this beacon light?

Looks like an RF6 to me(see attached pic of one). The OP pics mirror this image and not that of a NAS 250 series. The 250 series retaining band screws through the band and into the base of the beacon. I do not see this in the OP's pics. Chris.

    Southern VP Date Code?

Possibly a final quality control number to signify it passed all of the QC standards.

What CB radio produces the TJ Hooker Dispatch tone.

Agreed, it's an alert tone generated from a dispatcher console used for public safety. Not a CB radio.

    Visall VP 488 beacon

I believe LS344 is the correct OEM dome for this model. Parts/domes can still be found with a bit of looking through the internet. Chris

Help identifying a very specific rotary light

I would say the picture is of a K D Lamp Co model 886. I've attached a picture of the one I have in my collection for reference. Other companies made similar designs of a carrier with optics that rotated around a single bulb, but the 886 is what is in your picture. Chris

    Wanted Federal sentry dome

As the title states, I'm looking for federal signal sentry domes(other than amber). I am looking for condition of the dome to be good(minor scuffs or light scratches) to NOS. Please contact me with what color you have and price shipped. Thanks, Chris.

    Grimes HI-FLASH in amber

Absolutely, I'm sure this model was used on aircraft and later adopted for automotive use as warning lights on vehicles became more mainstream. They are well built lights and have stood the test of time.

    Grimes HI-FLASH in amber

So I finally was able to dig into this light. I removed the dome and inspected the internals and aside of things being alittle dirty, everything looked good. Removed the bulbs and tested them, both worked fine. Replaced them and powered up the light and it came to life! Everything functions as...

    Grimes HI-FLASH in amber

So I found this guy and while it's not in perfect condition I believe it won't be terrible to restore and will make a great addition to the collection. I have looked at these little guys when they have come available in the past and always had other projects going that didn't allow acquiring one...

    North American Signal Model 212MSS

So I wasn't really sure where to stick this since the 212 series beacon is still produced. I decided since this was made in 1993 and it's new in box that vintage would be proper. I've had this sitting in it's original package for a bit and decided to finally get around to changing out the power...

    Fleet strobe beacon?

I always liked the duocomm /911 bars that used these rotator assembly's. I have two in the collection and working on restoring the duocomm to old Ohio highway patrol configuration. Both bars I have are still functional so that's a plus. Below is the all blue one I have

    Fleet strobe beacon?

Common for their production timeframe. Collectable? If you like sealed beam beacons, sure. By no means is that beacon a rare light. In it's time it was a competitor with Federal Signal model 14, Yankee model 351 and just about any other maker's 2 sealed beam light. The weak part of this light...
