    Strobe light flash rates:

Back in the "olden days" we didn't much think about dwell time and side warning. The effectiveness was with the operator, not the lights. I mentioned this the other day and all but had my head torn off by the light reliant crowd.

Possibility of converting a Whelen TA836A from 8 to 6 head traffic advisor?

Agreed. We stopped getting them as a separate unit because we used them...but the public has no idea what they mean...decades after they became a thing.

What's the worst lightbar made by a well-known company? (FedSig, Code 3, Whelen)

Has nobody mentioned the LED (stationary LED's) vector or whatever it was.

Possibility of converting a Whelen TA836A from 8 to 6 head traffic advisor?

Does it use an internal flasher? If yes I wonder if there would be a "gap" or extra long pause in signal? I think they are quick but can't remember for sure. You definitely could do all of this with led and a smartlogic flasher as you can pick and choose how many heads are in the housing and...

    can anyone positively identify this?

It's an Edge and stuff behind the car/camera lack of fine detail. It's not a low pro nor a jetsonic.

What Would Be A Suitable Light For The Back Of An E-Bike?

You are going to need a step up converter from 6v to 12v. Bafangs LIGHT outlets are 6v. They are inexpensive and really small/easy to tuck away....or step down direct from the battery which is 48v.

What Would Be A Suitable Light For The Back Of An E-Bike?

What kind of bike? What is the motor? They have 12v outlets on Bosch and the like and Shimano is 6v so you need a stepup. I've been on ebikes since 2018 and bike patrol for 10 years. Your best bet is to wire direct but you do need to be mindful of the amp draw if you are running regular...

Suggested Windshield Strip Tint Percentage - Whelen Inner Edge FST

It would be pretty hard to get the tolerances exactly correct and it would introduce more potential points for rattles squeaks and other irritating noises....

2020+ FPIU Headlight Wig Wag Patterns

Based on the fact that it's an FDRS option it may only be what flashes when not patterns. Patterns they would have end users ability to change. So like high beams only, high and low, off when lights are on, park kill. Ours are all four when the lights are off and high beams when lows are on...

    Triple K EMS Standards

It is not required. It was set up for federal funding...so people couldn't get money for an ambulance and buy a fire truck. That being said, as above, many states then decided it is required in their state as there were few standards. As Zoe said above, I lived one state south of MA in CT and...

    Speed turtle 2021 F150?

I don't think you read these comments you linked. Most of them are positive. Without a baseline of how many are out there, there can be no way to determine what these things may or may not impact. Say there are four failures out of a thousand units sold...that would be like four light bars from...

Hawai’i Police Subsidized Vehicles - Pickup Truck lightbars

They don't have the 23's on this yet but when they do there will be a special note if they have to drill through the roof to mount the light. https://www.honolulupd.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/HPD-Policy-414-reviewed-by-Legal-2-8-2021.pdf

    Speed turtle 2021 F150?

This is my question. I would never get one but that's because our assigned cars have lights. But I am curious on how many BCM's/cars have "burned up" because of one of these. I see a LOT of people bash them with the generic catch all, "That's a great way to burn up your car!" but have never...

Thoughts of members on light head setup.

A split light isn't enough white to be an issue in drive or park. Don't panic about that. Your headlights would dwarf any of that.

Using LED replacements in halogen based bars, Answering questions and showing why in a video...

I agree with this. I also agree that the LED's are better than even 10 years ago. Remember when blue and white were SO much more money? Or white was...blueish...and dim...a long with yellow/amber...which with all other light tech were always the brightest?

Same color bulbs behind the same color lens is the only way to deal with LED replacements.

Ford can see the codes...or use Forscan. Again, it's no big deal at all.

Push Bumper vs. Grill Louvers/Grill Shutters (Ford Explorer)

Removing them does throw codes but does not illuminate the MIL. You can only see them if you read them from the OBDII so no big deal. All they really do is help the engine heat up faster. That's really all. Just an extra point of potential failure. When they fail, I just take them out.
