So it's just controlled by sending 12v to each pod via a switch, and the controller will never work with this? Edit OK all on or off... got it. Controller from another model. Thank you.

That's a good idea, it's a whelen liberty, so I can easily swap around the modules.

OK... grounding the green wire changes the pattern, there are about 30 to choose from.

Yes red and black are as expected white and green have been cut off I guessed one or the other would be the pattern wire but didn't want to start grounding or giving them voltage in fear of blowing the board.
