I really don't know what a good price for one is. All I know is it's getting harder to find them like most other vintage lights and domes are. These are getting very hard to find. It seems that the demand is much greater than the supply as are many of other domes for older beacons and lights.

Does anyone know where to find the original 1019 bulbs for these beacons? Or what other bulb would work in these lights?

If the dome is not cracked and just needs to be polished you can't go wrong for that price. The dome alone is worth at least that much but probably a lot more because the blue ones are really really hard to find. Buy it if you like it or someone else is going to jump on it. And if you do decide...

What do you mean b/c red domes absorb 85% of candlepower, amber 15%? b/c you mean blue clear and red domes? If so, how could a clear dome absorb any candlepower from the bulb if it's clear? Just wondering.

I also am looking for a NOS Whelen Responder in red. Or even just a NOS dome for one in red.

It's totally up to you but I would leave the bulbs alone or keep them as original as possible for this antique fire vehicle. In other words no LED. Just my opinion.
