Hey guys ,

Just picked up an 08 Chevy Tahoe LT with center console. I'm looking to outfit it with follow so far and looking for suggestions on where to run the wires from the battery.

VHF 50 Watt Motorola Astro Spectra with Systems 9000 PA ( Plan to place control head in armrest storage area )

4 HAW in rear tail lights

2 HAW in front turn signal

Visor Light

Poss HLF

However I need some ideas where I can tap into the wiring and where I can route through the firewall ( Strobe cables as well )

Thanks

I ran mine from the battery (10ga) through the fire wall with the rest of the OEM wiring harnesses on the drivers side behind the relay box.

Not saying it's the best place to breach the fire wall as I am a rookie at installs but it's the best place I could locate.

I'm not very familiar with the Chevy Tahoe, however with my car a 2011 Hyundai Elantra I was able to using a razor cut a hole in the main section where the wire harness came through, as it ran through a rubber grommet already protecting it so I didn't have to make any new holes and worry about fire proofing. Look under the dash, try to find where the main wire harness comes through and see if you can do this.

Thanks for the suggestions. Will definitely look near the driver side where the harness comes in. Just waiting on a few items to run it all at one time.
