I would have changed some of the modules in the Dominator so you would have red on the ends. No video?

That's how he wanted it.

The video is on my media card that I can't find, will try to have it by later this week.

Maybe it's not for response, but perhaps it may be more geared towards being a parking pass in the city. That would be my guess.

Guess again. Doesn't work as well as it used to. In certain parts of the city even NYPD permits get ticketed and towed. Traffic agents don't give courtesy anymore. Times have changed in the city. Thank Bloomberg

Hatzolah of NY has red light permits for all their members, personal preference to have the red lens no special parking passes and Hatzolah will revoke you light permit take away your plaque and remove you from the organization if you are a repeat parking offender using their credentials.

what is a hatzoolah?

It’s a Jewish all volunteer ambulance company. EMT and Paramedics. Hatzolah is a Hebrew word and its translation is “to save”.

The first one started in the 1950’s in Brooklyn NJ and has grown very large over the years. Central has aproximitly 10 divisions. Since the many jewish comunities have opend their own.

New York

Central has Boro Park, Flatbush, Queens, Williamsburg, Rockaway Lawernce (5 towns),Canarise, Manhattan Beach, Manhattan East side, Midtown,Washingtom Heights Upstate NY ect.

Monsey

Kiras Joel (Monroe NY)

New Jersey has several Lakewood, Jersey Shore (Deal), Union, Passiac ect.

Philly

LA

North Miami Beach ect.

Just the small picture :D

Looks like you did a great job on the install.

Some of it is a little over the top, but you are right...the customer gets what they want, usually. Really surprised with all of that they didn't want any HAWs/LAWs on the vehicle. The D8 and the slimlighters together at the top in the front and rear is a little much. I'm all for lighting a vehicle up, but that just seems like a waste. Also kind of surprised they didn't want a light behind the B post and that they didn't go with a D8 Plus with as much money as they put into that vehicle.

I would have done some LP LEDs to the rear or some HAWs/LAWs in the rear light housing to get some lower level rear warning. Also would have been nice to see some amber to the rear. A TLF would have even done the job. I know a lot of it wasn't your choice...just constructive criticism.

Looking forward to a video.

LOVE seeing another toyota SUV on the board. looks like a nice install

did u do the custom console from scratch, or did u take a universal console and modify it?

out of curiosity, which model HLF did u use? i've often heard of them having issues w/ the toyotas, so i'm always interested in seeing which model HLFs work w/ them ;)

The firebeam has way too much flashback. Here is a pic of a Whelen SpecTir8 that was put into a firebeam. That solves the problem of flashback and you still have a red light of your dash.

I've done that plenty with Tir3's Lin3's and Lin4's I offered the customer but me didn't want.

I put a quick connect plug for night time flash back.

Why no Blue . If he responds in NJ he should have some blue.

New York you can only run red or red/white no mixing blue in. He a Captain on a local squad in NJ and officers run red in NJ.

To avoid confusion remembering what he can use in NY and what in NY he stayed red/white and can use all his lights in both states.

I'm sorry I don't remember off the top of my head, I can look it up. Generally I use a Whelen universal positive or negative switched on rare occasions I use a Sho-me Bi-directional HLF.

Install looks good. All the angles covered, but that flashback at night is unacceptable for responses in my book.

Well, I find it ridiculously overdone. There isn't any thought put into this, except throwing as many lights as possible.

I beg to differ. When you are responding in a POV like I do every day many times , You need to have a lot of lights. When ppl hear a siren they look for a marked RMP, Ambulance or Fire vehicle. They dont look for a unmarked silver Toyota or Honda minvan. PPl can hear a siren and have no clue where its coming from. We are Volunteers, be seen be safe stay alive. We all want to come home to our families after the job. Very nice install. It looks neat and all the lights are in place.

I agree you need "lots of lights" but not to the extent where they just overlap on each other that bad. Install with no rationale.

This set up is not thought out properly, just throwing in lights wherever there is room. Just the bad FB3 flashback screams amateurs night.

This is an efficient, yet discreet install, for instance..

The flashback is no longer a pronlem as I made him custom flashback sheilds and put the rear cap on the FS rotator.

How did you mount the Linear 500s in the front bumper???

I took off the front bumper, traced an out line of the square part of the lights. Cut the hole with a pneumatic sawzall and Dremel. Placed the lights in flush mounted and epoxyed them in place. I gave them 24 hours to cure and reinstalled the front bumper.

I've also done this kind of flush mount to a Tir3 on running boards of an Expedition, I'll try and get a picture of them.
