I'm trying to find the correct fuse to wire a switch box that has the ignition wire. I need to install it in a way that it wont blow the fuse or etc. The ignition wire is my concern of wiring it in properly. Any help would be appreciated.

Are you using the ignition source for the backlighting or ??

The way I usually do em is grab the ignition wire in the steering harness under the dash. If that is what it's for, I'll shoot you the color wire to grab

I guess it is for the backlighting on the switchbox and possibly to prevent the switches from activating. Any other suggections would be great too.

It`s been a while, but I believe there is a fuse marked dashlights/backlighting.We usually find a fuse that is rated at,or higher, than the one we want to add,on ignition. Then we use a Wireless Solutions, mfg part #489006,from Tessco. It is a piggyback fuse tap.Never had an issue.
