Bout time someone used strobes, but (personally) i would've used 4 in the rear brake/turn housings (2 upper strobes alternating with the 2 lower strobes).

Where's the vid bro? Maybe throw another 2 SMT6 in the grill?

Videos are tomorrow. The whole strobe system was a remove and reinstall to the new vehicle. I did use new tubes for this install. He was asked several times to upgrade to leds but he was drinking the koolaid. He doesnt respond to scenes so we maximized his attention getting power to the front.

I like it, nice and simple yet effective. Personally I like strobe HAWs better than LEDs. The only thing I don't like is the location of the speaker. Being behind the bumper cover will really muffle it's output, it would be better mounted behind the grill.

Anyone who has worked on Tahoes/Suburbans before knows that's a pretty standard location for noise makers. It's easier to say some things than actually doing it

I haven't installed a siren speaker in a Tahoe/Suburban, but on all of CajunBlitz's installs on those trucks the speakers are mounted in the grill and to be honest it does not seem all that hard.

I know on the 99-06 Silverado's, the grille comes off relatively easy (my '06 had 6 tabs, easy to get to and release), which will give you full access to the grill area in front of the radiator.

true, it wouldn't be hard to put it in the grill area, I have done this before on other installs. The issue was the speaker already had the L bracket on it from a previous install and the price point for the job, wouldn't have made this a feasible location.

The grill is angled up about 15 degrees, I used a section of strobe cable behind the leds heads in the upper portion to combat this.

Ryan, that install looks great! The Venom fills up the front windshield nicely, and the SMT6s look like they offer a large footprint.

What did you think of the AWL Venom and the AWL SMT6s? I always appreciate customer feedback!

Tom, the venom worked very well in the tahoe, Only slight modification was needed to the brackets to fit like a glove. The patterns worked well and the customer liked the one we picked. The SMT6 lights leave a large footprint of light and really do work well for front or rear lighting.

Skip, We had 18 hours in the install.
