2014 Dodge Durango POV UPDATED 1/16/14

I'm finally getting around to posting my install. This is a 2014 Dodge Durango (awesome car!), used mostly for scene response with occasional station response.

Front is a Feniex Pegasus, which was a total pain to install. The brackets do not work well with this year's Durango, so it took some modifying (really just a large washer) with the help of a friend who is a Feniex dealer. This light output is really amazing. Its hard to capture in photos/video how it actually looks.

Two Ion's behind the grill.

Galls ST182 siren/light controller, through a Whelen SA315. Mounting the speaker was a challenge, but after a few hours of playing around I was able to find a place to secure it behind the bumper.

And that little fella on top is just to make it Michigan legal with 360 coverage. 911ep 360. Unfortunately it only has 1 flash pattern, but not a big deal.

Still waiting for the video to show up in my photo bucket, will post that soon hopefully.

Thats it for now. I have 2 mini Phantoms to go in the rear window either this week or next week, I just ran the wiring for that today.

Nice lookin setup. Are you gonna add anything for intersections or do you not have that many on your route? I see a sutphen tower there, is that Portage or K Township? Also, who's the fenix dealer? I have been wanting to find local dealers so I could actually look at products before buying them. I'm in Marshall in Calhoun county.

You know, I am impressed with that. Good job and I am also impressed with how nice Dodge has made the Durango, finally something that is tough and aggressive looking like their trucks and the Charger. As I continue to loose faith in GM and Ford, Dodge keeps improving things.

The yellow stickers on the IONs are weep holes for balancing moisture in the lighthead and per Whelen, they must ALWAYS be installed facing downward. Just a suggestion so you don't have premature lighthead failure...

Sutphen does have a distinctive bucket, don't they? I am with K-township. The dealer I know is Dave Weal. I would love to have more intersection warning, but this is a lease and I want things simple and hidden. I really only have one decent sized intersection in our primary response area and so far no major problems.

Thanks for the tip, I didn't know that. I had these lights on that same bracket on my Jeep for about 2 years with no problems so hopefully they are installed right. Getting the grill on and off is a pretty big pain in the butt.

Thanks, I agree Chrysler has really stepped up their game in the last 5 or 6 years. They have made some very attractive products with great quality.

So I put the mini Phantoms in the rear headliner and am pretty disappointed in their daytime punch. I am considering something in the range of a 911ep LS12 or TD/WL 24. Thoughts?

Cobra looks good. Only thing I'd change with it is slow the pattern down.

Have you considered recycling the mini phantoms? (Since you have them already, I figured you could use them as interior side warning, even though the 911EP beacon technically covers your 360)

I was thinking the same thing.

Also, what a PITA having to remove the entire bumper and grille assembly. It would be nice if it was modular and just the grill could be removed, for example.
