Hello all I am new to the forum! I own a diesel repair and performance shop and just getting into up-fitting! I am working on a 2020 FPIU non hybrid. I have done some looking around the forum as well as other online resources on the wig wag function for the 2020 and from what I have found these vehicles come equipped with the ability to do it without any aftermarket flashers. I have looked at harness diagrams in AllData and it appears there is a flasher relay front center near hood latch assembly that does the flashing for the wig wag feature. I do not see this relay on the vehicle I am working on. I have tried enabling the feature using forscan and grounding pin 1 on the white 14 pin connector and the wig wag feature does not work. I am having issues finding prints for BCM IO so I can’t really even trace pin 1 back to the BCM. Due to the non functioning wig wag it is making me question if this vehicle is equipped with it to begin with. I do not know enough about the system to intelligently determine if the vehicle is or is not equipped with it or if I am simply doing something wrong. If anyone can provide some insight on how this system works and better educate me I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you

The attached photo is the plug under the console. This particular picture is of a 25, not 20, so some of the wire colors are different, but that skinny orange wire is your wig-wag wire. Grounding that, should turn on your wig wags. If it doesn’t, try removing and resetting the headlight fuse. Ive had a few vehicles, all coincidentally with the DRLs that you cant turn off, have issues with the wig-wags occasionally stop working. The high beams also stop working when this happens. These factory wig-wags are BCM controlled, so you won’t find any flashers or relays under the hood.

I will try resetting the fuse pictured, assuming this must be done with ignition off and key removed? I also want to verify that wig wag will work in park with ignition in accessory, or does the vehicle need to be running or not in park for the wig wag to work? I have tried grounding that, to a ring terminal on a stud by the restraint control module as well as a power probe with no luck. Might I add, I am able to use the headlamp switch to turn the DRL's off, the highbeams do work and in forscan the DRL dark mode is not enabled. I did change some of the (I believe) hexadecimal blocks in the headlight control module so maybe I should revert that to factory? If you could provide any pictures of the HCM hex blocks so we can verify they match?

Im not sure what the issue would be. As long as the ignition is on, and that wire is grounded, wig-wags should turn on. Im not sure what you are referring to as far as HCM Hex blocks. Is that Forscan stuff? I don’t use Forscan for anything.

Yes that would be forscan stuff. Do you by chance have forscan and could look at the configuration in the HCM? I am going to revert the hex blocks in the HCM to what they were from the factory and try the fuse thing and then re ground that wire and see what I get. Is there any forscan or BCM experts in the forum that you know of?

I don’t have forscan. I doubt see it discussed much in here, but there are likely some others in here that do know. Search for thread titles with PIU wigwag, I know that these have been discussed before.

Crew, does anyone know if the wigwag ability is built into all of the 2020+ BCMs (PIU or not)? Also approximately where in the center console area can I find the white plug y'all are discussing? I'm going to start my investigation.
