If I'm only running a single 100 watt speaker, do I need to hook up both red wires, or just one?

If you are talking about a Whelen 295 siren, then the answer is yes, both red wires on the amplifier to the battery (30A fused) and both black wires to battery ground.

The old Whelen WS295s (1970s and 1980s) and the Southern VP SA400s were made by Carson. The design is based on the Carson SA300. The new Whelen WS295 series (1990s to present) are Whelen's own design. Reactions: Skip Goulet
