I was looking to make a DIY 36 inch RX2700, the only issue i see is the lip on the bottom of the outer lower domes (as seen on the picture demonstrated by a 21 series dome).
1755116690155.pngDoes code 3/ecco just use domes with that lip cut off? and if the lip is cut off how is a weather proof seal kept inbeteen the domes?

Finally got the time to start on this project again, and got to disassemble the bar for this project.

I got this bar from my city, no clue what it came from but because it had clear top domes the insides are heavily UV damaged, thankfully i have enough experience to resolder new wires to the light modules.

Also for some reason the bar had been coated in a clear coat when fully assembled that has fogged up, even worse is that it wasn't even a UV resistant clear coat; because of that itll be a bit of a bitch to remove that clearcoat.

Also while assembled i managed to map out the wires and also mapped out how i want to make the 36 inch bar.

At this moment im halfway through cleaning the modules in the bar, eventually ill need to cut the frame which if anyone could let me know the exact length the frame will need to be that will be greatly appreciated.

You must have the patients of an oyster to take that project on. I wish you the best of luck but I would probably just by a set of lower lenses if you can find them on here or eBay.

PS: Yes, Code 3 uses a different mold on the outer lenses for the 36" bars. There is no lip on those lenses.

Current status, Ive stripped the bar completely down, cleaned all the light modules, rewired all modules that need to be rewired, and now im starting it arduous process of peeling all the clearcoat.

Once im done with the domes up next will be cutting down the frame to size, again if anyone has the exact frame length it would be very appreciated if yall could pass that info to me!

decided to give the end of the lens a wet sand and polish just to make sure itll come out right and as it appears the cloudiness is an issue with the plastic that i cannot fix, looks like i will need to get new lenses.
