48 inch bar on a truck?

I'm thinking about putting a lightbar on my truck I have a couple of 48 inch LED bars laying around or I could buy a new 48 or 54 inch bar. The 48 inch I can get on a group buy thanks to a couple of PD's that are buying new lightbars and save myself about $500 on the bar alone. Or, I can spend 800 more and get a 54 inch.
It will be going on an F150.
Any thoughts?

I think a 48 inch bar is good for a f150 pov. I don't like a longer bar on my own truck, I hit my head sometimes, when I use the running boards to get in, in a hurry.

I have a 50 inch freedom (endcap to encap) on my 07 Silverado and it sits near flush with the roof/door frame.

If you had a 250 or bigger go 54, I'd stick with a 48 for 150. You really aren't getting more light, just more space between heads.
