6 firefighters injured in Detroit

Authorities say six firefighters have been injured during a building collapse on Detroit's east side.

Detroit Fire Department Lt. Theresa Halsell says the firefighters were responding to a blaze at the building Friday morning when it collapsed.


Halsell says the six were taken to a local hospital for treatment. She says there was no immediate word on their condition.


Television footage shows a large, billowing cloud of dark smoke obscuring the scene of the collapse. Numerous fire trucks, ambulances and rescue vehicles are on the street outside the building.

It would really piss me off if this was all for an arson in an abandoned building

I know that 4 are critical and one is parilized from the neck down and one has been released. Thats all i know for now will keep you updated
