A happy ending for a change

2 1/2 years ago a young Rochester NY police officer was shot in the back of the head by a very young teenager. He was not expected to live through the night. This coming Monday, he returns to the job!

RPD was the largest department served by our 911 Center, and I started my career in 1976 as one of the first civilian dispatchers for RPD. Anthony DiPonzio came on the job after I retired so I never had the pleasure of working with him.
