Yup, strobe corner flashers in the DOT lights.

Actually,these are led lights made by Whelen,for Wheeled Coach.They are steady burn,until emergency lights are activated,then they flash.

One of our Ambulances has them as well, Medic 5, I've been on calls with it, not really that moticable, and not noticable when its going down the road running the 9x7 strobes in the corner of the boxes.

The concept is all right but the execution could be better- it's looks like they just built a box to mount lights on. The split patterns aren't the greatest, especially the grille lights that are split but on a solid flash. At least they used Tomar.

I think it's a cover around the air conditioning unit. They work a lot better when in open air vs under the body.

We did the same thing when we rechassis'ed a box. Moved the AC condensor to that spot, and had the frame built around it. I'll have to get photos up.....
