Boy am I glad I chose to post my NYPD bar today, otherwise we would have been in competition...

Nice bar... I have a favor to ask, can you post some pics with the domes off? I am working on finalizing mine and I could use some reference pictures.

Thanks,

Rob

Yes, I too enjoyed the video. The 24RMC is one of the rarer Aerotwinsonics.

Nice bar!!! We have a lot of California-spec Aerotwins on here right now. Stampeed and I are both working on one, and with yours, each one of them are slightly different. I love seeing the different ways they are put together.

Yep I keep saying this, but I am getting there. this may get delayed yet again as I am in need of PAR 36 holders for a higher priority project.

Too bad you're not in Southern California. This weekend all of the emergency services in L.A. County are doing their annual fund-raising Burn Run. This is dedicated to a young girl who died of massive burns in Los Angeles many years ago, and once a year the emergency services along with the Crown Firecoach Enthusiasts and PCI have the county-wide burn runs which covers two sides of the county, meeting at a mid-point. The entire course has current and classic firetrucks, rescues and ambulances involved in the run, and it is a full Code 3 run. In fact to be in the run, the vehicle has to be equipped with functioning lights and sirens. I've never gotten to go to one of the Burn Runs, but they're really something.

What I have gotten to go to, though, is PCI's annual Summer Meet: this year's will be on June 21. The meet kicks off with a Code 3 Run that terminates at the Hansen Dam complex where all L.A. County emergency service agencies, along with CHP, PCI ambulances and all sorts of old firetrucks and rescues. Lou Farah who is president of PCI has a nice '69 Stoner High top Suburban and a Crown Firecoach pumper that looks a lot like the original Engine 51. When I was there in 2002 I got to drive Lou's Suburban ambulance in the Code 3 run, and that was quite an experience. Who'd think that someone from West Texas would ever get to run "hot" down an L.A. Freeway with an LAPD escort! :p

If you know how to contact Lou Farah, Eric, you can get the info on where they're starting. But it's going to be early with a breakfast to start things off.
