Picked up this Beacon Ray model 17 for a restore project. Came with 2 domes both red and blue, blue was on it. It has two holes (4 total) 45 degree's off from where the missing tag was, you can see there was something mounted to the light. Possibly a Cali Model?? Any Idea's?? Thanks

That looks to be a model 17 with the large dome, so 1968 or later production. The holes being 45* from where the badge was located would be the correct spot for a 17-C spotlight. Without the correct tag and spotlight, though, it is just another 17 in need of work.

Some of the California series lights such as the flush-mount Unity lights used a single bolt hole to mount the light. And it is the later Model 17 with the wider dome. Nice aquisition!

Dan: Did you see the thread on the new LED RotaBeam?

I have a 184 with 2 holes in the base and kind of thought that the Light was mounted on a Dump Truck that had a leveling kit for when the Bed is raised
