Big Pimpin Security Toyota!

so is the switchbox in the glove compartment? I couldnt help but laugh how the lightbar is labeled "warning lightbar". Looks good for what it is though!

Those lightbars are NOT..repeat..NOT worth a damn. As someone who has used several of these bars, the switchbox seems to be chinsy. Several of them fell apart. The LED's burned out in short order. They are made in China. Heck, these people couldnt spell the name right on the box's we got them in. Junk.

ok so you cop/paste the exact same thing in both of my threads, i get it you dont like the bar.

Hay it's a free world if he wants to buy and sell a china bar he can. I sell a lot of rect14 lights to replace burned out china lights. The costumer ends up paying twice. It's a nice install, everyone is entitiled to make a living and u can mark up a china product more then a US one.

I have to disagree. I have one on my car, and it does a good job moving traffic. I haven't had any problems with the lights burning out, and I've had it for around two years now. The only problem I've had, is that the lenses are starting to get a little bit yellowed. Although, I got mine from DeBaker at Ranger-Services, so I don't know if he used a different supplier or what...

I know a guy that runs from for oversize load escort and has not had any problems with it, his came from UW in Cali. I has one for a short time and worked well, but replaced it with a Whelen Liberty as I wanted an American product on my Ford F150.

Now this really disappointed me when I saw an American made Oshkosh vehicle with a China LED lightbar. Especially when the truck is over $200K, they could have used a Whelen justice if cost was an issue on lighting.

The objective of security is to be seen. Cant be seen with a burned out lightbar. :duh:

Is 1 or 2 half burned out modules really going to make a differnence? That car has more lights than 90% of the security cars here, which usually have a minibar, a single beacon, usually strobe, or a full size lightbar with corners only (C3 Excalibur 48 in w/ only 4 corner strobes... that's it).

I too have used KO lightbars. I had a 2100 imitation using TIR4 modules. That lightbar is now on it's 4th vehicle (1 of mine, 2 of my brother's, and another local parties). I've yet to see a burned out or half burned out module, and it's seen a lot of hours of use in it's nearly 5 yrs of age. It does OK for what it is.

IMHO, it's just fine on a security, plow, escort, or towing vehicle.

I don't think one of the lightbars would be good for police use, but if it's just security, and escort vehicle, or a volly who doesn't use the bar too often, I don't see the problem with that.

What it all comes down to is that it is their decision; their money, not anyone elses.

BTW, which bar is that? The Vanguard or the new streamlined one?

Oh, they look almost identical on the site. What's different about the shape?
